Other great training spots in Brisbane

Mt Coot-tha is the obvious urban choice. Brisbane Forest Park is just beyond Mt Coot-tha. It is ideal for longer runs and the excellent map can be purchased from the Brisbane Forest Park headquarters on Mt Nebo Road at The Gap. There are numerous suburban bushland reserves scattered around Brisbane, like Banks St Reserve, Chermside Hills Reserve, Daisy Hill (Brisbane Koala Bushlands), Karawatha Forest and Whites Hill Reserve. Some of them are small, but that just makes them easy to explore thoroughly! Experienced runners may like to explore more remote trails around Rainbow Beach, Mt Mee, Mt Glorious, Mapleton, Cooloola, Lamington National Park, Moreton Island, Fraser Island etc.
